Dreams of California Stuck in Minnesota Wants the beach, the sand, sunny skies Not the cold, slow roads, or black ice Has a rare disease only the sun can cure Takes a daily pill of vitamin C Every night dreams of swimming in the sea Why can't I be on a beach, soaking up the heat? Instead of sitting in the cold that makes my nose bleed? Half way to the West, car must've broken down while driving there Sunny beach, dry heat Cold winter, gray sky How did I end up here? How did I end up here? In the- Midwest Between two points I know that I was supposed to end up on the coast Midwest My car door just got jammed up by the ice But at least the summer's nice 6 month winter Starts in November I can't remember why I live here until the end of May When the long cold is over Then I take a trip down to my grandma Who lives in California I know I'm meant to be a Cali gal Just grew up in the wrong town The ocean is my home But I'm not home-grown I should be at the beach instead of the- Midwest Between two points I know that I was supposed to end up on the coast Midwest My car door just got jammed up by the ice But at least the summer's nice
I was born in California and now I live in the Midwest (not Minnesota per say, it just flowed nicely with California) Supposed to have a vibe kinda like Dani California idk I was just kind of vibing I actually love the Midwest but 6 month winter is pushing it a bit but when it's really cold the sky is SO PRETTY :P nooo i would never copy Midwest Indigo.... nope...
