Welcome to the Random Password Generator. This is a tool that speaks for itself. Toggle various preferences to indicate if you want lowercase and uppercase letters, numbers, or symbols in your randomly-generated password, and use the slider to change its length. Why is it recommended that you have a password with random characters? According to this statistic (https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5ffe234606e5ec7bfc57a7a3/bc9f24b4-b47e-48dc-8fd6-8ad88eaedfde/2025+Password+Table_A100x10000.png), passwords that are shorter and involve fewer types of characters are at a higher risk of being cracked in a shorter time. While the Random Password Generator does allow you to create weak passwords, it is NOT RECOMMENDED TO DO SO. Random characters make it harder for people to figure out what it is. If you use the same password for your accounts across many different platforms, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you use different passwords, potentially using this Random Password Generator. If you don't want to have completely random characters but still make a secure password, try thinking about something random - it could be a pet or something in nature, NOT A SPECIFIC PERSON OR DETAIL. Think of a phrase (i.e. Cats are awesome). Try replacing certain characters of the phrase with symbols and numbers that look familiar (i.e., a=@, s=$, I=1) and capitalize random letters. The phrase catsareawesome can turn into the password Ca4$ar3@w350Me. What if you don't remember all of your passwords? Try keeping a designated password book. When you create a password for an account, write it down as well as the corresponding username. ONLY LET YOUR EYES SEE IT. If you prefer writing them down electronically, you can use your phone's notepad, for example. All you would really need to remember is the password to unlock your phone to get to the rest of your passwords. Will the Random Password Generator or the Scratch servers remember the passwords I generate? No. This project does NOT UTILIZE CLOUD VARIABLES, so passwords are NEVER sent to the servers. And as soon as you click "Done" in the project, your password will be automatically deleted, so the project will have no record of ever generating that password. That ultimately puts you in charge of protecting it. Never share passwords anywhere and make sure only you know them. Any vulgar phrases that appear in a password are purely the work of computer-generated chance and are not programmed into the project. I apologize in advance.
