chapter4 I step out of the trainees den, my tail wagging with impatience as i search for acorn. He was supposed to come and meet up with her tonight! I was exuashted and tired after exploring the territory and borders, then taking care of the elders and mothers (mothers are like queens in wc). I sighed happily. Later that day, my mentor told me i was no longer the omega, but my battle was coming soon. Battles were fights with my packmates so the challenge is who can survive first. I stifled a yawn and flopped down. my paws ached with exhaustion and impatience. Until...I heard pawsteps. I quickly sat up, waiting until I saw acorns sleek black and white pelt (his eyes are hazel, and he is a border collie). "acorn!" I hissed as he approached. "I don't know why we had to meet in the middle of the night." Acorn whispered. "its cold and foggy here, so..." Then I changed the subject. "So. my question was, why didnt you tell me you were the alphas son before?" I demanded, my heart clenching as I spit the words out. Acorn flinched and flattened his ears. "I thought you knew! didnt you see how father and mother reacted with me?" he asked. "I DIDNT! I JUST THOUGHT THEY WERE NICE!" I argued. "tell me the real reason." I said. Acorn bared his teeth. "BECUASE YOU WERE THE OMEGA! I SHOULDNT EVEN BE FRIENDS WITH YOU! I should've never even stood up for you! I don't care if you aren't the omega anymore. but you WERE. I would never tell such a thing to you." he spat. My heart sank. tears filled my eyes. "Then don't! I can be without you! but remember, you cant change the past." I sobbed, racing into the trainees den as I plopped down at my nest, sobbing. "Rosie...wait." whispered acorn as he followed me into the trainees den, lying down at his bed. I knew I should've never made friends with him. that smug creature...i'll show him one day.
