Heya, ES715 here! I thought I'd share a project (before going on apology mode), and I was scrolling through my projects to get an idea of what I could do. That's when I stumbled across this. I do not know what I was thinking that time, but present me was absolutely shocked. (But then again I didn't play KATFL at the time so understandable?) Soooo I did it again ( •̀ ω •́ )✧ Below are the rankings of each ability and the explanation of why I like/dislike it. Read it if you would like to. [↑ means that the rank when up, ↓ means that the rank went down, and = means that the rank is the same compared to the previous project.] [Note that I give these rankings based on evolutions and how much I use these abilities in modern games. This is purely out of opinion; don't judge 〒▽〒] From last to first... --- 12th - Bomb [=] Bomb is still very, VERY awful. The evolutions aren't as appealing, and I still have aiming problems. Sad. 11th - Crash [↓] Crash isn't the best, but it is certainly better than bomb. It's a one-time use ability, but it packs quite a punch. Time Crash is really good too; however, I don't get to keep it so... /_\ (And I don't know how to do that one trick where you can keep Time Crash forever) 10th - Needle [↓] I don't know why I thought that needle was good. KATFL makes a good use of it (and don't get me wrong Crystal Needle is really strong), but KRTDL deluxe absolutely ruins its legacy. 9th - Cutter [↓] The better projectile throwing ability. It's not bad, but not good either. (I used to r e a l l y struggle in the cutter challenge stages) 8th - Drill [↓] Drill is questionable. Sometimes I like it, and sometimes I curse its existence. Twin Drill is really great, but you have to wait about 5 worlds to get it. Plus, it isn't good when fighting in the Colosseum, since its main use is for puzzle-like stages. Similar to Cutter, but slightly better? 7th - Sleep [↑] I can certainly name a lot of times when Deep Sleep saved me, but Sleep's only existence is to make levels more challenging in other games. Come on, it's cute though. 6th - Tornado [↓] Tornado is great, but it can be really uncontrollable at times. I love its evolutions, but other than that, just no. 5th - Fire [↓] In the top 5! I don't have anything against Fire since it is both a very strong ability and an ability that solves puzzles. Its next evolutions are great, too; it is just that some abilities seem to be better than Fire :) 4th - Hammer [↑] I absolutely underestimated hammer. It packs quite a punch, yet it is very fast when it comes to the later evolutions. If Morpho Sword or Space Ranger isn't available in the Colosseum, I would easily take Hammer. You have to wait quite a bit until you actually get a *good* Hammer evolution, but still, great. 3rd - Ice [↑] Ice is one of my favorite elemental abilities in other Kirby games; the fact that KATFL added Ice into the game made me fill with joy. Not only is it incredibly fast (because of the ice dash), but the evolutions are also AWESOME. I love to freeze enemies, and KATFL just made it even better. Though not my usual pick in Colosseum battles, I love to use it in levels. 2nd - Ranger [↓] I fell in love with Ranger the moment I got the ability (IT'S KIRBY WITH A GUN THE MEMES CAME TRUE). Since then, it became my go-to ability. Noble Ranger comes in extremely early, and Space Ranger definitely was my first ability to evolve when there were multiple abilities to choose from. Nothing is bad with Ranger. However, first place goes to... 1st - Sword [↑] Sword, sword, sword. I love this ability. I like how quick it is, and its evolutions are some of the best ones I've known. I remember being disappointed when I saw that it evolved to Gigant Sword, and the joy when I evolved it to Meta Knight Sword. It's last evolution, Morpho Sword, is the best evolution I've seen in the entire game, and it still shocks me to see that HAL actually added this evolution. Way to go, Sword; you deserve this place. --- Though my fingers still hurt, it was fun to rank these abilities and explain my opinion. Heh. Ta-ta, for now, and ES715 signing out.
