CW: attempted murd3r, child k!lling, mentions of t0rture, de4th ~CLOUDGAZE~ There was a time that I was just like Bonepaw. An older apprentice, powerful and capable. I had every right to become a warrior. But that mud-brained Shadestar never let me take my assessment. I still don't know why she held me back. She just hated me for some reason. I was stuck as Cloudpaw for moons. Kits born to my former denmates became apprentices, then warriors, while I was stuck behind. This was when I realized- Clan life is nothing. Rogues, loners, even kittypets are happier. Because they don't have rules or boundaries. Nothing for them to aspire to, just the simple joy of life. Not limited by borders or expectations. Free. So I snuck out of camp, became a rogue. And I vowed to tear Shadestar and all of MistClan down. Revenge. I would trick kits or apprentices or even young warriors into following me, promising freedom from the limitations of Clan life, then murd3r them. I had many, many, horrific ways I thought of for cats to d!e. I even gave myself a fake warrior name. Cloudgaze. Made me seem older, not a 'paw. But all good things have to end. Someone in MistClan probably caught onto me. And one night, I was taking a young med apprentice to a gorge. I had told them we were gonna practice hunting, and they seemed really eager to go- too eager. That should have been my first sign. We arrived at the cliff, and after hunting, had sat down by the edge and talked. "It's been nice mentoring you," I had said. "Shame I'll never see you again." Before I could push them, I felt them move behind me. "Yeah," they hissed, "Goodbye." With a powerful headbutt, they pushed me straight into the gorge. I fell, not scared, not sad, only angry, because I never got to kill the one cat I was after. Shadestar, my mind had boomed as I was !mpaled straight through the chest by a sharp rock.
