chapter5 (the tn is acorns sister, echo) I grunt as I missed the rabbit, frustration settling in my bones. After the fight with me and acorn, I totally just blew my brain off. I was so TIRED and grouchy. I groaned as I followed my mentor, dawn the sheltie, and she looked back. "Are you okay?" she asked, concerned. "IM FINE." I snapped, but then I regretted the sharpness of my words. Dawn blinked. shocked. "okay, okay! there's no need to bite my head off!" she muttered as we dashed deeper into the forest. "ah, there's the great willow tree." Dawn mused. my anger faded away as I relaxed and watches the butterflies flutter through the sky. I sighed. "I'm sorry I snapped earlier," I said awkwardly. "I don't know what's up with me." But I knew. the fight with acorn. I shook my head as I yawned. "can we hunt now?" I asked, nudging dawn to get her attention. "Oh!" dawn jerked back up from watching the squirrels play. "yes, go ahead. track a rabbit for me." she ordered as my anger started rising up in my blood. I grumbled and I stomped away. I tasted the air, and tracked a vole. "This isnt a rabbit, but it’ll have to do. Its winter, after all." I thought. as I stalked through the brambles and pine trees and spruce trees. I dropped into a crouch, then realized I'm not a cat. I sighed as I stalked near the vole, then made my move. I chased the creature through the forest as I snarled, biting it and killing it. I took a breath as I leaped at a lark. "two catches! yes!" I exclaimed excitedly. I took my kills and trotted over to dawn. "look! two catches!" I said, warmth filling into my body as dawn started praising me. "good, now why don't we go back to camp? I'm really tired." I remarked as we walked back into camp. Maybe I wasn't useless after all. Chapter6 I woke up, my legs aching after the moonlight patrol. Acorn told me to meet him at the great willow. But I didn't have the mood, so I snapped as him and he shutted up. i yanked out a thrush out of the pile as I walked out of the camp, trotting toward the old oak. Echo, Juniper, and hazel. the only dog who were missing was acorn and holly, but I was glad. as the apprentices were there, they started gossiping about training and alpha. I rolled my eyes as they mentioned acorn. I sat down as echo walked over to me. "wheres acorn?" she asked, but then after the mention of the name I just blew off. "How should I know? leave me alone!" I snarled, and echo blinked. "okay, no need to snap!" then she dashed over to juniper. I looked around, sighing as I bit into my thrush, but then I loose appetite quickly. I watch the birds, then I loose interest, too. I thrash through the snow, growling as I track a pig. wait...a pig? it wasn't a boar. it was a pig. I followed the scent trail quickly, then I saw the pink creature sniffing the snow, then it saw me and squealed and ran away. "WAIT!" I shout, running after the pig. I then stop as I saw a barn. there were sheep's...cows...but inside their stalls as I saw lots of pigs escaped. I smirk as I leap on one, biting its tail as then a big dog approached me- not a wolf. some...wolfhound? it was giant. I whine as I crouch low. "what are you doing?" demanded the dog. I straighten up. "I am hunting for my pack, mister. You have no right to stop me." I said defenseivly. The dog just chuckled. "yes, I do. these are MY pigs. my farm." he growled as my heart clenched. "fight me." I breathed as the dog scoffed. "I don't have the stomach to fight you." he said, but then I relax with a good comeback. "then you're scared. you're weak. you must've went to the cutter to be healthy and not get rabies. but I didn't. I'm wild." I said as the dog froze. "Cutter?" he asked. "did you mean...the vet?" he asked as I inhaled. "yes. the vet." I sighed. "honestly, the cutter is better. also, go ahead, you wanted to ask me something." I stared at my paws, trying to hide my fear. "yes. um, is it true? you're wild? you never went to the vet?" he asked, his eyes wide. "yes, why?" I asked. the dog looked away quickly. "because its impossible. wild dogs don't exist! also, instead of hunting my pigs, go ahead and get a owner for yourself. you wont be out freezing in the cold." he told me. I got no interest. "huh. well, it is possible. I'm here, aren't I? so it's true. also, no thank you. I'd rather stay in the cold and starve instead of being pampered and overfed in a little human den and eat disgusting food that looks like rabbit droppings." I scoff as the dog laughed. "good one-" he started but I interrupted. "I mean it!" I teased as the dog snorted. "what's your name?" he asked. "I'm Fergus. the wolfhound." he introduced himself. I nodded. "hello, Fergus. Im Rosie." I remarked as he circled around me. "I should go. meet me here tommorow?" he asked. My ears shot up. "what time?" I asked eagerly. "maybe at night? midnight?" he said. "sounds like a plan to me." I agreed. "bye!" I trotted away fastly as I reached camp, and curled up in my nest.
