Just read down here: “Planet Paramewolm is in our sights,” Sally said, sending the words back to command centre. “Roger that. Oxygen test it, land close to it if possible,” a serious voice said through the speakers. “Confirmed,” Sally said as she turned the radio off. “Jayden, head down there but don’t land, okay,” “Got it,” Jayden said as he blasted the ship down towards the blue and green planet, similar to earth. They reached the planet’s ground quickly and Jayden moved the ship into hover mode. The ship hovered on a flat land in between trees. “Amazing, trees, just what we need,” Alexandria exclaimed as she wandered to change into the safety suits. “First terrestrial planet in ages,” Joshua said as he finished changing and rushing over to grab a few pieces of equipment. The door opened up and lowered, hissing as it touched ground. Alexandria jumped off the stairs and landed on soft grass. The soft grass made Alexandria’s feet sink in a bit. Joshua hopped off and threw a piece of equipment into the air. He caught it and read the symbols on it. “Oxygen levels are a little higher than earth’s, but that’s normal,” he said as he went to climb a tree. “Time to take our helmets off,” Sally said as she did so. Jayden and Alexandria followed and took a huge deep breath in. Joshua climbed the tree, fighting gravity for the first time in a year, and reached the top, sitting on a strong branch and taking his helmet off. “I can see lots of trees, mountains and a few lakes about!” he shouted, analysing the surroundings. “What are the options to explore?” Alexandria asked, looking up. “There’s a mountain in front of us, six tall trees behind us, and a large cave to our right. On our left, there aren’t much to see but a huge lake.” “Let’s go for the big cave,” Sally suggested, looking at the others. “I’m with you,” Alexandria said, eagerly looking over at Jayden and Joshua. “I kinda want to discover the trees, but the cave can do for now,” Jayden said as he started walking right, straight into the bushes. Alexandria and Sally followed close behind, passing him a few metres later. “Hey, wait for me!” Joshua yelled as he jumped down, rolling on the ground, to avoid breaking his feet, and running after the others. Leaping off a small rock, Alexandria landed on the soft dirt. Sally followed from a different rock and landed next to Alexandria. “Did anyone report back to Command Centre?” Joshua asked, looking from one to the other. The others turned to look at him and shook their heads. “Oh, did anyone bring a communication device?” “Oh, I did!” Sally exclaimed, digging deep into her pockets and pulling a small radio out. Joshua looked at it and nodded, “Can you report back to Command Centre and tell them what we have seen so far?” “Sure!” Sally said, then she turned the radio on and called. “Status report,” Sally started, “we have landed on Paramewolm and it is safe, all tests done and we have headed to a large cave.” “Confirmed, anything else?” Command Centre asked. “Not that we can see, though we have seen six tall trees, a large mountain, and a lake about out area,” “Confirmed, over.” The radio buzzed, then Sally turned it off. “Did you guys here that?” Jayden said, pointing towards the cave that is a few metres away. “No, wait, yes, I can here it, what are they saying?” Alexandria asked, peering closer at the cave. “They seem to be speaking gibberish,” Joshua replied. “Or they said an unknown word,” Alexandria said, grinning. There it was again, the sound, voice, distant and soft, echoing. “I think it said something that goes like ripplioboom?” Jayden said, trying to listen further. “No, I think they said something like rippliobolm,” Joshua said.
Continue down here: “Yeah, rippliobolm is what they’re saying,” Sally agreed. “What does rippliobolm mean?” Jayden asked. “It’s another unknown word, we can find it’s meaning later,” Alexandria replied. “Everyone, duck!” Joshua yelled suddenly as he jumped to the ground, covering his head. Jayden and Alexandria did likewise but Sally stayed upright. “What? what’s going on?” she said, then she cover her head as an army of invisible things shot out from the cave and over to them. The first one hit Sally and ripped her skin open, but she dodged another and ducked down, out of the way. All four of them heard noises coming from the cave and the slicing things cutting deep into the trees, some smashing directly at the trees and knocking them over, making a loud crash. Then the slicing noise died down but the ones from the cave kept going and another wave came. After a few seconds, everything went quiet. Joshua was the first to stand up and looked deep into the cave, seeing multiple shadows. The others stood up as Joshua slowly crept towards the dark cave. “It’s over, I think,” he whispered, creeping closer to the cave. “I don’t think we should check it out,” Sally said as she brushed some blood off her wound. “We should, but we’ll have to be careful,” Jayden said. Alexandria nodded and followed Joshua towards the cave. The other two followed as Joshua entered the cave. Inside, the darkness met the stillness as Joshua tread over something. He took out a torchlight and turned it on. Below him was a dead, bloody body. “Be careful here, we have sightings of a dead body. Be careful where you tread and be careful for the ones that killed them. The bodies seem to be animals with multiple cuts and thin holes in them,” “That can help us with finding the definition of rippliobolm,” Alexandria said. “Yeah, those shot things are quite annoying and fast,” Sally said. “That’s right, the definition of rippliobolm has to be fast and annoying ripples!” Alexandria said, jumping up and down until she landed on a body.
