Hi! I've wanted to create a WOF OC for a long time, so I did :) this is Eventide, a Seawing-Nightwing hybrid. She goes by she/they, because I wasn't paying attention when I made the ref. Backstory Eventide was found abandoned by anonymous Nightwings in the ocean, where she was found by her adoptive mother, Seaspray. She grew up in a little isolated village nestled in the islands; one of the few that were above water, becasue Eventide didn't have any gills. She lived there for most of her childhood, trying to fit in with the other Seawing dragonets, but never quite making it. Eventually, she had enough, and ventured back into the rainforest to look for her Nightwing parents. They returned unsuccessful, but after hearing of Probability, Eventide traveled there, curious and excited at the prospect of other hybrids, and she has lived there ever since. Powers / Unique traits Eventide has no Nightwing abilities, as much as she wished they did. Nor can she breathe underwater, though she can breathe fire. They don't know if she is good at swimming and can hold her breath for a long time because she has spent much of their childhood in the ocean, or that she is half Seawing. Regardless, she is an expert swimmer, and dares to dive deeper than most non-Seawing dragons. Design notes for when drawing Eventide (Please read!!!) - The dark blue on her legs and tails can taper off in any way you like, so long as it is not blended. I showed two examples, but you can do it in other ways if you like, but preferably not just a flat divider. (lmk if you need more clarification) - A lot of the design has to do with different features - overlay and add (addition). If you use a program that doesn't use that, it's fine to colourpick straight off the reference pictures, or not blend. Tho I would recommend getting a better program if you do. - I involved an extra page of examples; this is just because I personally find it difficult to draw with only one reference - there's nothing in the extra page that isn't covered in the front page. - You can also use the same colours. I have three shades of white, if you wish, you can only use one.
