I’m going to put everything here (edits and writings) Part 1: Editing Scratch: A Way to Code for Everyone Scratch is a nonpareil website where kids can make games on the computer screen using blocks that click together like legos. Its made by MIT developers and you can make games or stories that have animals in them but sometimes the lag is bad if your internet is slow. Coding is good for your brain because it helps with math and technology, you also can share your projects with other people who live in different countries. If you want to make a sprite jump you just use the movement blocks and event blocks and make sure it works right, if it isn’t, you can always try again/fix it. It’s free and you can sign up with no fees, so you don’t have to pay money which is good because some games cost a lot of money and you can be a part of communities! These days, You should try it if you like computer/mobile games, or if you are bored. Part 2: Writing Hello there! My user is happygamer08, but I have a bunch of nicknames (a few of them are Bread, Uni, Unicorn, Nova, etc!) I’m a student at Art School for All and I joined back in late November. Before we start, let’s give a background of myself! Joining: I joined back in summer 2025 when my friend told me about a contest called SSO (Scratch Summer Olympics) and I thought “sure, why not!” This decision has had a giant impact on me. Minecraft: Back in July, I joined a small Minecraft server (scratch based) and I am still in it. There is so much history I could get into but i cannot. The server is running smoothly, if anyone would like to join, it is called Nations Fun. Finally we can get started, the topic I’m doing today is… who I am as a coder and why I joined the newspaper!!! Alright we spent a good chunk of my writing wasting away so let’s get straight into it! Who I am as a coder Well to start off, I’m NOT a well known scratcher. But my specialty is clicker games! I’ve had a few clickers that popped somewhat off. Here’s a list of them! Why I joined the newspaper Okay, so this isn’t too interesting. It started when I came upon Art School for all. After I joined, i joined the newspaper because I’m somewhat a writer in real life, and that’s pretty much it. I do enjoy writing and editing.
