The dark guardians have been sent to hell and are no longer going to be a thing The abyssal notes read as follows: "The Bathysphaera, the untouchable bathysphere fish. It's ranked as hypothetical, which means that it's existence was never confirmed with a photograph or specimen, likely having gone extinct before it could get one, or having never existed in the first place. They roam the abyss in pairs, and although they aren't aggressive to other denizens of the deep, they are aggressive to terrestrial fauna. To go along with their hypothetical status, any bathysphaera which leaves the biome will fade away, as if having never existed at all. When at low health, bathysphaera will drop an untouchable scale and flee. The untouchable scale is likely useful in some way I have not been able to determine as of yet. The Bathyembryx, or the pallid sailfin, is another hypothetical fish of the abyss, this one can be found more frequently, although still rare. The Bathyembryx moves slowly, but is aggressive to terrestrial life, dashing at a faster speed to headbutt foes, staying just out of reach. If damaged to the point of low health, they will shed one of their fins and speed away. These fins may be used with mushrooms to make a foul-tasting soup which will allow one to breathe in the abyss, although it will also give a short nausea. Like the other hypotheticals, they will disappear when outside the bounds of their home. The Bathyceratias, or the three-starred anglerfish, is another hypothetical of the deep. Much like their larger dragonfish counterparts, the bathyceratias is agressive to terrestrial life, slowly swimming towards victims to bite down on their flesh. Interestingly, they may also use one of three lures to "hypnotise" foes, dragging them towards themselves, even ignoring buoyancy to do so. If one can fight back enough to get them to low health, they will drop one of their teeth and flee. These teeth may be made into a foul-tasting soup along with mushrooms, which will grant one the ability to see in the abyss. Identical to other hypotheticals, all of the specimens, alive or dead, I have gathered disappear as soon as I leave the depths. Bathysidus, or the five-lined constellation fish, is another hypothetical of the hadal zone, although this one is much less aggressive. They shine with an intense purple glow unmatched by any other life form, so bright that it can be seen from any point in the abyss. Although you would likely want to go closer, the bathysidus will lure other hypotheticals closer when in fear, and it happens to be afraid of all terrestrial organisms, and strangely enough, none of the world's aquatic creatures seem to frighten them. I had thought of a rather genius idea to put one in a bucket, as they are small and docile enough for it to work, but unfortunately, it vanished right out of the bucket as soon as I had left the biome. However, when I looked inside the bucket, it had left an untouchable photophore, which could be used to create purple torches, lanterns, and sea lanterns. Finally, there's the Bathysphereon, or the abyssal rainbow gar. Despite the name, they could very well be anything but gar. I don't know very much about them because they seem to fire ultraviolet rays from their skin when illuminated, which will deal fire damage even underwater. I have been able to contain one in a bucket, but like the others, it faded away after leaving and left behind an underworld scale. My current theory is that these organisms, like the phantoms of the sky, are manifested by fear. Whereas phantoms feed on insomnia, the bathysphere fish likely feed on the terror that terrestrial organisms have over the deep. In a sense, the terror and worry that something is lurking in the abyss creates something to lurk in the abyss, fear that feeds into itself. Being similar to the phantom would also explain why their drops seem unaffected by their disappearance, but I have no idea at this point. I'm going to go down there again for more answers." End of notes.
