This is my Deltarune theory! ^_^ This theory is about why (and how) Spamton is lore relevant. 1. His glasses We know that the character Friend (found in the files) has pink and yellow eyes, and it's lore relevant. Spamton's glasses are pink and yellow, just like Friend's eyes. This could imply that Spamton is important, like Friend is. 2. His NEO form. He constantly expresses how he wants to "cut the strings". Being on strings is a way of saying you're being controlled. This might be a stretch, but what if Spamton knows he's in a game? It also makes sense when you realize that Spamton knows about the soul. 3. The "garbage noise" We know that Spamton divorced- I mean left Tenna because he heard "garbage noise" on the phone and ran away. I've seen this theory before, but what if the garbage noise is entry #17? It certainly sounds odd, and it could make sense when you think about #2. 4. He talks about "reaching heaven" (fair warning, there's some religious stuff here! ^_^") There's a lot of Christianity referenced in the game (Noelle being referred to as an angel + her pose on Queen's hand in Chapter 2 similar to Christ on the cross) and he talks a lot about heaven. Once again, inspired by another theory, heaven could be the real world. Just throwing that out there. So, how is he relevant to the lore? Well, for one, he plays a key part in the Snowgrave route, which has been theorized to be the canon route. Secondly, if I'm right and he is aware its a game + he's related to friend, he might also play an important role in future chapters. In conclusion: Spamton is the best and is important to the lore.
