Our generation and society absolutely stinks when it comes to relationships. Everyone now is just looking for something easy; something they don't have to put effort into. Everyone wants to date people with good looks or a higher social status (popularity); no one seems to consider personality anymore because it doesn't seem to matter, and in my opinion, it's messed up. Personality matters more than anything in a relationship; looks are literally just a bonus for anyone. What happened to old school love? The kind where guys would open doors, pull out chairs, or even have manners and respect (There are definitely some girls who need to learn that one, too.) What happened to the dating-to-marry kind of relationships? (Like that's what I want for a relationship; is that too much to ask for anymore?) I have seen sooo many people just have one conversation with someone and then all of a sudden they're dating or saying "I love you" after a few hours. Come on, y'all, that's not a relationship, that's just called desperation, desperation to get something easy because y'all aren't willing to wait for the right person. (I know I have no room to talk because I've been there (wanting a person), and that's my biggest regret. [I mean, what person doesn't want to be in a relationship?] But it's also what led me to the lowest point in my life; It led me to getting h@rassed, thre@tened, and man!pulated by a guy I'd talked to one time and had never even met, and only one person knew about that situation, and it wasn't my parents.) Everyone is so desperate to be in a relationship that dating 1 person isn't enough for anyone anymore. Y'all have gotten so desperate that y'all have normalized building a roster like it's nothing when in reality it's such a big deal because it's disgusting and wrong. (Like I'm not trying to be some guy's rebound or option they need because they want a girlfriend right then and there; I know my worth)
Y'all might dislike me for putting an opinion out there that no one asked for, but in all honesty, it needed to be said. Some of y'all really need a reality check, and I'm not going to apologize for calling people out and having an opinion on it.
