I’m sorry for the very inconsistent post schedule! I’ll explain everything for the future of WASTELAND in this project right here, for where we plan to get for the end of the year and a more consistent posting schedule! Let’s start with why the schedule can go with giant jumps in between chapters. I’m sorry! Chapter four is currently in the works and will be done by January 15th, hopefully! Now, back to why I took a big break from wasteland for a bit. I think to explain this, you need to know where WASTELAND came from. WASTELAND came from a dream I had from about a week before the prologue was posted. It was a very unorganized dream, about a cat, similar to Dune, trying to escape the desert. He met with a group of ‘rouge’ cats who informed him that (I believe!) only the Oxen could cross the desert. This is what WASTELAND started as, and I merely tied ends and added some to the string that was the dream of WASTELAND. Now, this was all inspired by just a dream. It was hard for me to think of a way to start this story, and it was hard for me to continue the story. Another reason for the long gap, besides from writing block, was the holidays. I had a friend coming over for Christmas and a lot more, and I would rather spend time with them than crank out hours to work on story and new character designs. Sorry for the inconvenience, I hope you continue to enjoy WASTELAND. Now, a more consistent posting schedule! With school and 5-7 days a week of swimming and gymnastics, it’s hard for me to pump out chapters. So, for about 1-2 hours of a week (not including weekends, Saturday and Sunday), I get to work on art for 4-8 hours a week, and with a rotating DTA to work on, countless DTA’s I join and the occasional animation, it doesn’t leave much time for wasteland, possible 30 minutes a week, so expect a chapter every 1-3 weeks, depending on how long it is. The future of WASTELAND is… something alright. I have the story mapped out up to a certain point, but the middle is hard man. I intend to hit about 25-75 chapters by the end of the year. Will WASTELAND be discontinued? Of course not! This is my little passion project, I don’t care about the views or the likes (maybe just a liiiittttlllleeee bit :), just were the story and Dune & Diamond! Whoops, charecter spoiler!
