every single person is different. females mature faster than males (biologically, but this does not justify the awful things done to female idols), and some people mature faster than others. the problem here is not the AGE itself - but the lack of protection and legal action taken against people who have done these nasty things to idols. had the kpop industry taken specific protections and sued those who deserved it, given idols appropriate outfits, never overworked them, and therapy sessions to protect their mental health, none of this would be a problem. take kya from starship ent. she is given appropriate outfits and is not overworked. her company is protective of her, and she has not been affected. next, take Kaylee. she was overworked, which affected her mental health, so she took a hiatus and left the group. what exactly was the difference with the situations? kya was protected, meanwhile Kaylee was protected from fans but not by the company. the term goes both ways. they were both 14, but one was protected while the other wasn't. and the protected one has good mental health while the other left the group she worked so hard to be in after a long hiatus. is the problem really the age, or how the companies treat these people? the problem is truly the industry we are in. its not the age. its how kpop companies don't protect idols from fans or treat them like machines, and how some "fans" sexualize idols or hate on them relentlessly. the age isn't what's wrong about this all. its the people no one expect to be the culprit - the fans and company. what ive been trying to say is; dont try to change who debuts. try to change the industry we're in.
