CW: Sickness, D3ath I smiled up at the stars. They sparkled in the obsidian sky like diamonds. I recalled the only memory of my mother and siblings I possessed... "Crash, Cumble, Crush, come here sweeties." My mother called. I scrambled to sit at my mothers feet, my brothers on either side. "I'm going to tell you a story." She said, gesturing up to the night sky. "See those stars," She continued, "Those are our ancestors, watching over us." She said. "That's Starclan. Your father is up there. so is your older sister, Diamond. Soon, I'll be up there too." I didn't understand back then. I didn't know why my big brothers coughed and collapsed. I didn't know why they wouldn't wake up. I didn't understand why my mother, who had been exiled from Cavernclan long ago, left me in the stone tunnels and told me she would watch over me from the stars, just like Daddy and Diamond and Crumble and Crush. I didn't know why she made me promise to live a good life. I didn't understand what was happening when she stopped breathing. Now I looked up at that sky, where she was waiting for me. Where Pupfishparade and Whisperkit and Flickerkit waited. I closed my eyes, and pictured my living family one last time. Wanderprance, Brightpaw, Agatepaw, Zirconpaw. My angels, my everything. I exhaled one last time. When my eyes opened, Mama, Daddy, Diamond, Crumble, Crush, and all my family from Starclan stood around me, and I smiled. "I lived a good life Mama, just like I promised." End
Whew. I'll admit that was hard to write. I've loved the character development of Crashoath from a young warrior to becoming a mother herself. However, I think it was time to let go,and I loved the story of her coming back to the family she lost.
