~In the near future…~ “Wait…” Pyrite heard an electric call, sounding not afraid or pained or angry, just… hopeful. She turned, her cloak blowing in the howling winter wind, to see another lizard, with turquoise eyes and rings, gazing over through the cascading snow, mouth open in a silent whisper. “…Diamond Tail?” the lizard murmured, and Pyrite froze. Was this a dream? Or were the fuzzy memories flooding into her mind those of a true past life? Pyrite was shaken, not just by the cold. The second lizard crept over and looked into her eyes, as if she were reading the sudden stream of thought. Pyrite only just managed to choke the word through the falling ice and her own freezing tears. “…mother?”
