Hiiii! It's ur girl skyye here, releasing a song that I had probably more trouble writing than I was supposed to! Why is it so hard to write songs with a background track but no tune? SO. If you checked this before, you'd know that my previous song was titled Through It All, and used the piano ballad track. And I still have Through It All included, if you press 2 (space to see the old cover). But if you click the green flag, or 1, instead you'll hear something else. I did the indie/folk one, and had a bit of trouble coming up with a tune to go with it. This song is called Good Enough, and it's about not feeling like I'm very good in the music industry, and how I felt like Through It All wasn't very good, and my little mental breakdown after taking it down and stressing about a new song. I just kinda felt like my talents were limited to musical theater and my own songs weren't... well, good enough :'( update: didn't win anything lol but it's fine STICK WITH ME HERE OKAY IT GETS BETTER Here are the lyrics! Ooh, ooh The harmony Doesn’t come so easily I’ve got the tune But I fail on the lyrics I have a voice I have the words I have a microphone That probably doesn’t work The days go by I sit alone With a glitter pen And a book with no notes Can’t play guitar, can’t sing through my scars Theater kids, we are what we are Cry whenever I listen to a well written song Drop one bomb and it all goes wrong I’ll never be good enough 'This is great' 'You’re real good' They tell lies Because they were told that they should Compliment everyone but me And you think that I won’t see Can’t play guitar, can’t sing through my scars Theater kids, we are what we are Cry whenever I listen to a well written song Drop one bomb and it all goes wrong I’ll never be good enough I need inspiration to get it to go my way Hands on the glass, staring at the empty highway Mind racing with a million metaphors Want to shout but my voice is sore I can’t take this anymore Can’t play guitar, can’t sing through my scars Theater kids, we are what we are Cry whenever I listen to a well written song Drop one bomb and it all goes wrong I’ll never be good enough Can’t please the crowd, can’t drift into the clouds Can’t lash out, because it’s never allowed Cry whenever I listen to a well written song One bad note and it all goes wrong I’ll never be good enough
