I'm not sure about this, though. The process is very long and the lip sync still looks a little choppy. Still, it looks better than my manual lip-sync. ____________________________________________ @griffpatch stuff: Tutorial: https://youtu.be/-QOJNB_iWvU I made a webapp that loads a Scratch Project and looks for sprites containing both a set of mouth costumes & 1 or more sounds - The webapp then creates the lipsync data and saves it back to the Scratch Project so you can play back the costumes synced with the audio file. Steps: 1. Remix 2. Ensure Mouth sprite contains "your" Audio Files & a full set of Mouth costumes (see costume names) 3. "Save to Your Computer" as a sb3 file 4. Load into: https://scratchlipsync.griffpatch.academy 5. Process Each Audio File (twice for better quality) 6. Save 7. Load the sb3 file back into Scratch 8. Enjoy! Any avid animators out there with tips with how this can be made more useful??? It'll be fun to build up a list of great mouth costume sets to be remixable or to include in this project Notes & Credits @SmileHedgehog - Inspired me to create the webapp @scratchprgtyu - Inspired the latest set of mouth shapes based loosely on Jacknjellify
****IMPORTANT INFO - PLEASE READ THIS**** Hey, guys! I know some of you might be mad at me for just lazily remixing Griffpatch's work, but honestly, I just created 1 minute of MANUAL lip sync for WSCI 1A and it looks, uh...questionable. Unfortunately, I have to keep that because I spent AGES on it and I would not like that to delete that... Maybe, in the future, I'll reanimate that, after I finish WSCI and I'm relieved with all the pressure. Back to the story: so, I tried to make my OWN UNIQUE lip sync system, but it couldn't work. I tried to make one using a string of numbers, but maybe I'll retry that sometime soon. BUT, I knew I couldn't drag on like this, failing every time, as it kept on demotivating me to make WSCI. I soon realised that I might not have enough time to make the whole episode as it will last around 8 minutes. I had to split it into two parts because: 1. I was worried about the project becoming way too laggy to run on my computer. 2. I don't feel like I'm fast enough to make one whole episode IN 15 DAYS. It probably sounds nonsensical to you, but seriously, my procrastination might lead to more delays. Fortunately, you guys will still have WSCI coming out on January 30, but only WSCI 1a. WSCI 1b will have to be scheduled to the 15th or 16th of January. I'm trying to make an episode a month, but I might not have that much time now, with school starting soon. If we continue this pace, we might be able to release the 14th episode of WSCI on Feb-March 2027. But if we take even 1.5 months per episode, the final episode will be pushed towards Aug-Sep 2027. So, yes, you guys should understand the pressure I'm on to create 14 8-minute episodes throughout slightly over a year, which is nearly 2 HOURS of content. And I'll have to animate by MYSELF TOO with the budget of 0 dollars on a software that isn't even an animation software. So, please, guys, I REALLY need to take some shortcuts too if I want to finish Season 1 by early 2027. Thanks for listening to that! :)
