Who - Dolia, Steph, vague mention of Raemus and Ryli When - A few weeks ago Where - Dolia and Steph's old stargazing spot ____ Dolia held Steph down, pressing her dagger against her throat. Steph was unable to get up or throw her off, as she had one hand occupied with warding off the weapon, and the rest of her was pinned. After a bit, Steph managed to toss her off, a few feet away. Dolia skid onto her feet, then paused for a moment, looking up at the sky. It was rather starry, a couple of constellations could be just barely made out, and the Milky Way streaked through the dazzling lights almost like a path. Just like… Dolia snickered, “Oh, isn’t this funny?” Steph was still catching her breath, then looked at Dolia confused. Dolia noticed this and smirked, “Doesn’t this feel a little… familiar to you, Steph?” Steph took a moment, before freezing. Dolia laughed softly, dipping her head, “Ah… this is just gonna keep happening again and again, huh? History always repeats… one way or another…” Steph didn’t answer, trembling slightly. Dolia laughed a little harder at that, “History /always repeats/… same thing is gonna happen over and over again… maybe one day you’ll…” She glanced towards Steph’s sword and raised her eyebrows. “When it happens again… are you gonna be as selfish as you were before as well?” Steph’s eyebrows furrowed a bit, “It /won’t/ happen again… I won’t… I won’t let it.” “Answer the question, Steph.” Dolia demanded, then grinned again, “Besides… how could you be so sure it won’t? You know you’re powerless to do anything about it… unless you somehow altered time itself, hm?” Steph didn’t respond– again. Dolia smirked slyly, “Are you still gonna save yourself first?” Steph took a sharp breath in, “I– no I– I offered myself but he spoke over me–!” Dolia tilted her head, “Did he? Or did you just materialize that memory so that you wouldn’t be at fault?” Steph stood suddenly, causing Dolia to stand as well, “You already know that you can alter your memory… you forgot on purpose before. You know you’re capable of forgetting, so who’s to say you can’t create false memories for yourself either?” Steph seemed even more confused than before, “Wh-... What do you mean– what in the stars are you talking about?” Dolia seemed surprised, before grinning, “Oh… so you cleansed it so deeply you even forgot that you did it, huh? I’m betting you even forgot how you did it too…” Steph opened her mouth to speak, but Dolia quickly cut her off, “So desperate to think it's not true… to think that it’s not your fault… I pity you. I bet he does too.” She snickered, then turned around, “Well, I was going to [off] you, but seeing you like this is quite entertaining, so it can wait.” She laughed to herself, then murmured, “See ya, Stephanie.”
