Hey guys i recently uploaded a series called “Funky Pilot” which portrayed a pilot who was particularly funky. The ides being the pilots are not usually funky. and I wanted to sincerely apologize to anyone who may have been hurt by this. After learning more about the history of funk, I realized it was not my place to be a funky pilot. And ultimately I am very grateful for this learning opportunity. I am going to leave the projects up, because I want to hold myself accountable and responsible. But just know that my desire to make this character came solely out of a desire to be funky and a pilot. It was not meant in any other way. You know, there was no further agenda besides that. Im still proud of the series. I think that it’s, you know, when your on social media, it’s you kinda just have to throw things out there. Something I learnt from my villain series is just post it because you never know. And then a lesson I learnt from my 68 projects was if it doesn’t work the first time keep posting it until it does work. And so a whole part of my career is just using the lessons I’ve learned as they accumulate, you know, and hoping that leads to an interesting place artistically. And I did think Funky Pilot had artistic integrity, but of course I would never want it to be, you know, as I said in the video. Pilot gets funky was really the only message the was there in the end and the idea is that he want to spread joy through funk. So the all I would ever want to do is spread joy. Or make you think, you know. Because I suppose and if you looked at it one way, then having a pilot who was that funky would be sort of distressing. I don’t know, thats the thing I find interesting about my art is that I think there’s a lot of ways you could view it. Depending on how you already view pilots and how you already view being funky. It could be, you know, there’s one way of looking at it which is very like, oh, this is fun this is fun. You know. I would love if my pilot as this funky because most pilots are not. there’s another way of looking at it thats like, well, there’s a very good reason why most pilots are not that funky, because funk has no place on an airplane. So I guess those are thats it’s just… I what I will say is that I deeply value all of the different perspectives that I get from my audience, and I appreciate all of you very much. I appreciate everything that you bring to the table….. FUNKY FUNKY PILOT. No Im just joking around, thats in the past, Im moving on from FP(Funky Pilot)…..
