Researcher Name: Dr. Lea Elliots Entity: 079 - Fungus (Infected) Prior Information: The subject is one of our researchers, thought to be dead. Apparently only infected, but no confirmation could be found. Located due to a distress on an emergency radio. To be treated with utmost caution.
-Report & Tracking of the Case- First Entry: This mission started due to a message on one of the emergency radios that our staff are supplied with. It had a lot of content, but the majority of it appeared to be pleading. It seemed sincere enough, but some entities are intelligent enough to do something like that. 079, Fungus, was not documented as having outstanding intelligence, but not everything is known about it. End. Second Entry: I've been assigned to bring a party of researchers and expeditionists, all professionals in this department, to find this mysterious person. I have my suspicions as to who it could be, but nothing can be confirmed until we see the person, assuming it even is one, face-to-face. Supplies and general plans should be ready by the end of the day, and we can set out tomorrow morning at the latest. It seems urgent. End. Third Entry: We've been able to successfully begin the mission. We've set off, and we're on track to reach our destination within the span of two days if we continue at the pace we are currently. Next report will be when we reach our destination, lest something should happen while we're travelling. End. Fourth Entry: We have arrived at the location. It seems to match up with the images we saw of it in one of the recordings taken, which leads me to the conclusion that this is certainly the correct place. We can't find the figure that we are looking for, however. We'll do a scan of the bottom and top floors before moving to the attic. End. Fifth Entry: All we've found on the two main floors were notes, which we will be confiscating and taking back to the facility for further research. We'll move up to the attic tomorrow. End. Sixth Entry: We've found the person we set out to. My suspicions were confirmed. The field researcher. The one who went missing. He was in the attic, curled up in a corner. He barely looks human anymore. He has one of the parasitic mushrooms growing through his eye and various places on his head, and well as having one arm turned completely to a claw and the other one being turned ink-black with sharpened nails. He seemed more than grateful at being found, and he begged us to take him back to the facility. We'll be bringing him there, if not out of his wishes, then from the need to study him further and the hope that he won't transform further. Said research will be carried out and documented by another specialized personal. End.
