The sky, a breathtaking blue, turned red. Not rose red, but blood red. The clouds turned black and the sun hid. People panicked as mangled horrifying creatures smashed them against walls and tore their limbs off. Elara turned to Finnegan. “Oh, Finnegan, we have to help them!” She cried, agonized. Finnegan shook his head. “Elara, no. We have to go!” Elara’s look was pleading. “Oh, please, please let me help them!” “No, Elara, we can’t help. Least of all you, in your condition..” He gestured to her belly. “The baby will be fine, Finn. Please…” Finn shook his head. “No, Elara, we have to go!” Elara looked torn. Tears in her eyes, she said, “Fine! I’ll go help them,” and tore herself out of her husband’s embrace, leaving him horrified. A creature took her and turned to Finnegan. It ran off.
