A month before, his wife was kidnapped. A week later, he and his squad found and neutralized the kidnappers. But David later found his wife dead. Her death shattered him, broken him. He then moved out of Los Angeles, leaving everyone behind, and settled into the little town of Hawkins Indiana. There he though his life could be peaceful. He was indefinitely wrong. While chilling in his car, a man approached him, offering a proposition to be a MP guard at Hawkins Lab. Dispite being retired, David accepted. Because maybe, being a guard at a lab will help get his mind off things... Two years later, David began to feel a little sympathy for the children, knowing what they go through and what they have to do, but he remains straight-faced. After an inccident that led David to be attacked by a Demogorgon after finding out about the gate, he realized how inhuman the lab really was and so he left. He became Sergeant at Hawkins PD, there he forged a work-relationship with Chief Hopper. --------[] Relationships with the main characters []----------- Chief Jim Hopper: Neutral - David doesn't feel the need to be 'best friends' with him, but he does enjoy his company dispite his skepticism towards him. They work together well. Joyce Byers: Neutral - David thinks she's a little crazy, though he understands that she's just a single mother who wants to protect her sons from danger. They get along quite well (Should David be shipped with Joyce? OwO) Eleven: Neutral - Reconizes her from the lab. Has a close/stronger bond with her. Mike and the gang: Neutral - Guard mode activated. Will protect them at all cost, no matter what will happen to him. Acts like a father to them.
