Take more thingamajigs I made in school ig Click/tap to go to the next image The first one is from a while ago that I decided to put into this, and the second one is 'that one deltarune thing' I promised katra I'd release by christmas (ik I'm so good with deadlines), it's a guitar we made in DT which I just finished this monday More explanation/cs lore dump: So the first one was this art homework from like a year ago, we took any image (I chose a greyscaled version of the shocked guy meme as you can see), split it into 1cm x 1 cm squares, and recreated it beneath by looking at each square individually and filling it in with the amount of dots necessary to make it match the brightness of its corresponding square. Right so now the deltarune one. For the main 'box' or whatever we were given a long piece of wood which we cut into 4 and glued together. For the neck, we were given another long piece of wood, which we chiselled and sawed into and stuff until it got the shape you can see (plus some stuff you can't which cuz it's hidden in the box). Then we drilled holes into the neck, for where the metal tuning thingies would go. Then we were given a panel of wood each, which we glued to the back of the box we made, and we cut the width and depth of the neck into the box. We then put the neck into the box and glued it into place. Then we used this device which is pretty much a very hot piece of metal attached to a cool handle, which we used to burn the finger line thingies on the neck of the guitar (following a guide to know how much to space them by). For the front, we used an app called 'Inkscapes' on our school devices to make 2 designs and send the one we like more to our teacher who lasercut it (red lines = cut all the way through, black lines = indent slightly). We were then given said lasercut panels and glued them to the front of our guitar. We then put in the metal tuning thingies I mentioned before into the holes we drilled and screwed them into place.
We then cut two threads (as in the metal screw thingy), one the length of the neck, the other the length of the neck + two nylock nuts (you can screw them on with a wrench but can't take off without one). We then attached the two nylock nuts to the aforementioned longer thread. We glued the shorter thread to the beginning of the diagonal bit of the neck, and the longer one 62 cm down from it, on the panel. We then measured and drilled 3 holes into the bit of the neck sticking out at the bottom, and put 3 rivets into them. Finally, we fed the strings through said rivets and into the metal tuning thingies, and tuned them to our liking. We weren't able to take our guitars home (yet) cuz we need them at school for our evaluations, so no cover of 'Raise up your bat' today sorry folks In loving memory of james misonist VI
