HUNGER ~ Volume 1: ❝HUNGER❞ Sparklepaw was... Stressed. He was nearly a warrior. How should he act at his ceremony? What will he do after? maybe eating something would help. He hadn't eaten in a while. He walked to the prey pile. He took a vole. And walked back to the apprentices' den. He sat down and looked at the critter. It was... Pretty big, for a vole. He was about to take a bite, when- "What if... What if I eat this, then I get sick, or...fat?" It wasn't a random thought. He kept on thinking that. Every time he ate. He started eating only small prey. "This is too big." He returns it to the prey pile and grabs a tiny mouse. Then walks back to the apprentices' den. He sets it down in front of him. Was this to big as well? What would happen if he eats too much? He starts to panic inside. "I don't..." But he did. He did want to eat. But he also didn't. "I'm not hungry." He lied to himself. Again. Something bad would happen if he ate. He /would/ get fat. ...Right? He stared at the mouse. He felt a pain in his stomach just looking at it. The prey sat there, untouched. "Why am I hurting?" He clutches his stomach. His vision blurs, the tears in his eyes making it hard to see. He falls asleep, crying because of the pain. The mouse still in front of him. He is to wake up well and healthy again in the morning, as if it never happened, but the memory will stay. The end. [Yippie an srp!
