⎯⎯ ୨ Been Thinking ୧ ⎯⎯ ─ a poem ─ I’ve been sitting here, thinking about reactions over actions. About the weight of a word before it ever even hits the air. Thinking about the way a human being can say things to another that aren’t true. Thinking about how we are always so loud, quick to jump, quick to move, when maybe we should just be still for a moment. Thinking about things that hopefully matter. Thinking about how much time I’ve wasted thinking about thinking about nothing. Because I’ve spent some time thinking about the things I actually want to mean, instead of just the things I feel.
