I thought you cared To some degree But I was blinded To what was in front of me You told me you'd stay And always stand by my side But when I needed you I realized you had lied All those promises You swore you'd always keep But I should have known You'd just leave me I trusted you, I really did But when you took off your mask I saw who you really were And your underlying task What did I ever do to you? What did I ever take? I was trying to help you succeed Not knowing you were just fake.
