how the peices move Pawn: 1 space forward (up to 2 if it's the first time that pawn has moved) and captures 1 square diagonally, cannot jump over peices Bishop: infinite amount of squares diagonally, and captures the same way it moves, but cannot jump over peices Knight: 2 squares in any direction, then 1 square left or right of that direction (an L shape), CAN jump over peices, and captures the same way it moves Rook: infinite amount of squares horizontally or vertically, and captures the same way it moves, and cannot jump over peices Queen: a combination of the rook and bishop. King: 1 square in any direction, cannot move into a square that is being attacked. if the king is currently being attacked, it is in "check". you must find a way to get out of check, either by blocking the path, capturing the peice, or moving out of the way. if your king is being checked by two different peices, you can only move out of the way. If there is no way to get out of check, this is called "checkmate" and the opponent wins.
please go by the rules of chess and don't abuse the power, the finished version will come out when I finish it but it might not have en passent or castling but I can make it work press space to cancel the peice you want to move
