Part 1: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1267664536/ The shift in Fire-Lilykit’s tone was subtle. “...Because I forgive you, Wildfirelament.” But Wildfirelament picked it up right away, a sinking feeling in her stomach as she did so, as those words registered, bringing another hitch to the warrior’s breath. “...How?” Wlam whispered, voice strained. “How could you forgive me, after all that I turned you into?” “Because you turned me into *you*.” Fire-Lilykit said. “Strong. Brave. The *bestest* warrior in Falconclan.” The kit gave a bright grin. “That’s all I ever wanted to be.” Fire-Lilykit’s smile fell again, and she looked at Wildfirelament in seriousness. “..But it’s not about what *I* want to be anymore.” The kit mewed. “It’s about what *you* want to be. Not what you *think* you should be, not what you think you *have* to be, not what anycat *else* thinks or wants you to be. You. Just you.” The smile returned to the kit’s face, something softer, more understanding. “..So, I’ll ask again, and don’t give me a stupid answer this time, kay? What *do* you want to be, now that you’re all grown up?” “...” …And for a moment, Wildfirelament didn’t answer. She said nothing, and neither did Fire-Lilykit, who just waited patiently and expectantly. What did she want to be? What kind of cat did Wildfirelament want to be? “...” …She wanted to be Flintforge’s nester again. The kind of cat that he could rely on. To be in his life again, to know him, and his family, instead of turning away and lashing out at every attempt to reconcile. …She wanted to be Water-Lilyredemption’s friend again. The kind of cat that they could count on. To be someone who supported them, brought them happiness, instead of putting them down and taking advantage of them. …She wanted to be a good clanmate again. The kind of cat that her clanmates could depend on. To bring them food when hungry, to bring them security when frightened, instead of bringing them more problems than they already had. “...” She wanted to be that cat. She wanted to be trustworthy. Honorable. Just. She wanted to be- “...Kind.” Fire-Lilykit raised a brow at Wildfirelament’s reply. “...Kind?” The kit repeated, before rolling her eyes. “Pssh- *lame*. I would have picked something *cooler*.” Flily then gave a toothy grin. “So, that makes it perfect.” Wildfirelament felt a small chuckle escape her, and a small smile curled at her lips. “..Thank you.” “No prob!” Fire-lilykit chirped, before her ear twitched and she turned her head, as if reacting to a distant call that only she could hear. “Oop- I gotta go! It’s nap time!” The kit turned and began to bound away across the void, and Wildfirelament blinked and stood quickly. “W-Wait-!” She called out, earning pause from the kit, who turned with a cheerful grin. “Yea?” Wlam hesitated. So, so many things that she wanted to say, and she didn’t know where to start. Because how do you say goodbye to a part of yourself..? “...I love you, Fire-Lily.” Wildfirelament meowed. Fire-Lilykit blinked, before giving a brighter smile in return. “I love you too, Wildfire.” And as the kit turned back and bounded away, the black void Wildfirelament stood in slowly turned to white, no longer cold. … Wildfirelament blinked awake, finding herself back in her nest in tree hollow. The sun was just beginning to rise, which meant that so would the masked warrior. As the hybrid descended her tree, she paused to look up at the place that had been her lonely exile, and then look to the direction of the warrior’s den, before she padded off to start her day. …And perhaps, just perhaps, that night a long-awaited nest would be lined right alongside her clanmates.
Just a small srp I say as it turns into a project and a half long sighs
