Two different individuals with a dual purpose; to leave their mark. But they didn’t not know when to stop. They only followed their code and waited till it is erased once again. Then they did it again. Over and over. For eternity. They grew to observe the place around them— a dark grey void in which only their marks are important. “[black]..” [white] asked, “have you ever wondered..” they piqued. “what’s outside of here?” “What purpose does it serve to ponder about a place you never seen,” [black] exclaimed in pessimistic and deadpanned tones. “let alone even know exists? This might be the only place ever.” [white] kept an optimistic tone, for they never backed down or lowered. “And for you, beautiful artist.” It peaked an interest. “Find a purpose in your work. When the only marks you leave define something so extraordinary, might it be best to go elsewhere and place flags on it.” “But we don’t know anything about the culture of outside.” [black] seemed to be disinterested. “Yet how? How will we leave the border?” “Use your intelligence,” [white] spoke of wisely. “and figure. You are supposed to break bounds, leave the ordinary and that is what [creator] asked for you to do.” [black] remembered. “For there shall be light in darkness.” That was what told to them upon creation, many years ago. “Your job is to give life. But remember, what you do will be gone, when you do it too much.” Too many years ago to count. “There is a limit. Imposed by the highest of the high.”
“So be sure to never leave marks too deep.” (270~ words)
