✧－Ｗｉｓｈ ｕｐｏｎ ａ Ｓｔａｒ－✧ I stared up at the night sky, glittering, and gliding with stars that came and went, freely— unlike us. I couldn’t take my eyes off of them, although I’ve seen them multiple times. The towns people and travelers crowed the streets below me, amazed and dazzled. I wished. I wished upon those shimmering beings of light, so pure, and subtle. I clasped my hands together, and closed my eyes. For my wishes, so they could be granted. I opened my eyes. I looked up again before turning to my knight. He was too, gazing up at the mystical sight. His eyes were filled with wonder, forgetting everything— for the moment. I let a small chuckle out. ‘Is this your first time?’ He snapped back to reality, taking his eyes off of the night sky, and faced me, with wonder still in his eyes. He gave a small nod. ‘Where were you last time it happened?’ I ask. But he simply shook his head, silent words, speaking of the past. A memory for someday soon… but not now. ‘I wished for the kingdom. I wished for it’s peace… What did you wish for?’ I pondered to him, glancing up. He thought for a bit, and hesitantly, looked up too. ‘…Secret for now’ his quiet whisper echoed in the silent air, talking to me, and no one else. My heart fluttered. My knight suddenly moved, fast as lightning, clasping something bright in his hands. I went up to see. he opened his hands to reveal a piece from the sky… a stone filled with light. It shimmered and glowed, its presence was comforting. But not as much as him. Before he closed his hands again, I saw on his hands, in those lights, strong marks of his courage, hard-earned from pain, those that meant more than golden medals and badges. He stood still, holding the precious item. He looked into my eyes, observing my emotions. Then he put both hands out to me, and put the glowing stone into my hands. He instantly looked down and away, his face blushed. I smiled, stepped another step closer, and put my arms around him. He didn’t move, but leaned against me, and simply said: ‘I wished for you’
