hey gamers happy valentines day i lowkenuinely need to come clean about smth Also do as the project says and do not click further until you read through. this comes with a quick story time, I’ll get to the point as fast as I can, promise. So January 2025, I accidentally got tartaglia off the chronicled wish and I went from hating him to really like his character and therefore looking more into his lore. Hang onto that. Fast forward to May, I’m drawing the art for this project https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1174519581/ and I lowkey think to myself “hmmm, who would actually work with riya ngl?” So I start going down that list, but it’s mainly “nope she would hate them, nah she’s too mean to them, ehh they would probably be happier with someone else.” Then I get to him. It’s like that one scene in Diary of a Wimpy Kid where they’re auditioning for the play and the teacher hears Greg heavenly singing but it’s me and this absolute idiot of a character. The way these two are actually so perfect together made me so mad, and it was even worse because I had already written him into the riya lore like 3 months before so I didn’t need to actually change much. Now you many be wondering (unless you’ve caught on) who could this character be? Well who the skibidi heck did I start of this project yappin about and said I started reading into his lore? Yep. As of May 2025, I unfortunately have been horribly fixated on shipping Riya and Tartaglia. You may now click through the project images. And it didn’t help that I never got hired to any of the jobs I applied too for the summer, so I legit have over 300 CapCut videos I made of them which only fueled the fire. And I was honestly embarrassed by this fun ship I made and I honestly still am. But I finally told a couple of my friends and it’s made me feel so much better than hiding it. I really was scared they would make fun of me, which is dumb because they’re my friends and shouldn’t do that. And they didn’t, they all love Riya x Tags as much as I do and I love having people to talk to about it. Now for the ship name lore. Gingersnap. Why this? Well my pookie @mystique-- was the first one I told about it and she mainly came up with it as “Tags is ginger and riya is crazy so snap” and I love is so much it’s the perfect name for them and you can’t stop me. Anyway I’ve done WAY too much yapping I just really needed to get that off my chest it’s been so long. Please feel free to ask me questions about the lore, I would really love to share some! And if there’s anyone out there who somehow hates this with a passion, just remember I will always be my biggest hater, you’ll never be on my level of how much I hate this ship. But it truly makes me happy and it’s something I enjoy putting time and effort into drawing, writing about or even just coming up with fun interactions when I’m bored.
