"If you don't like what I'm saying, then why does it sound like you?" (I believe the bg music has cursing) Steph’s biggest tormentor is herself. Or at least… a version. Annie was supposed to be Steph’s hallucination of herself– the embodiment of her ‘masking’, but Steph had bent reality in on itself without realizing, turning Annie into a partially physical being– almost like a spirit, she can appear at will, often only appearing when Steph is alone, but she also likes to pretend to be Steph in front of others as well when Steph isn’t around(she sucks at it though). Her name was taken from the other half of Steph’s ‘real’ name, Stephanie. Annie’s existence is… complicated. She is not a real person, but she is a physical being with a voice and thoughts. She can be seen and felt, but she is not real, she is a being stemmed off of Steph’s own mind. Annie exists purely to ruin any progression Steph has had with her mental state, she is the embodiment of Steph’s ‘mask’ as stated before, and she is also the embodiment of what Steph is /terrified/ of becoming. She can harm Steph, but she cannot fatally wound her or draw any bl00d, so Steph cannot d!3 to her, she’s just there to destroy her mind. (I had felt Annie would be too overpowered if she could k!11 Steph/fatally wound her bc she has access to Steph at all times and can appear whenever she wants :p) While it is not possible to k!11 Annie, it is possible to make her into a peaceful being, or just weaken the power she has over Steph’s head– if she finds that Steph isn’t falling for it anymore, she will leave her alone for the most part. Fun fact: She appears in Steph's mirror sometimes as a Raemus parallel
Her physical differences from Steph: Slightly bigger iris/pupil, faint swirl in left eye, and occasionally a halo. She also feels cold all the time, more cold than a living being would normally be, and her voice sounds like a just barely distorted version of Steph's.
