[by @ech0lalia--] Update: guys so my point of this project was that deleted projects aren't actually deleted, unsharing projects doesn't do anything on its own, and u prolly could delete the contents of the project instead of the entire project if u were planning to do such a thing. --------------------- i don't have much expertise relating to ai laws or child protection laws nor do i know much about how to protect creations so i don't exactly have much to say about that... however, i have seen some ppl suggest deleting projects to remove them from scratch.... here's the thing... scratch doesn't actually delete your projects. they remain in the database even when permanently deleted by the user. i tried to delete all my projects from my old account when i was moving here... just to find my long deleted 5 year old projects that i deleted so freaking long ago greeting me at the page where scratch convinces u to stay... entire projects... code, sprites, everything. simply deleting ur projects is not going to work. btw st can access ur projects... ik this because i forgot my password on my old account, and the ppl helping me to get my account back asked me to tell them about some of my unshared or deleted projects to confirm that it was in fact me the owner of the account... they can access everything that u have made. i mean i am not sure if they use unshared projects but i do not trust them enough to assume that they wont update: it is explicitly stated that they could use content posted to scratch for this including unshared content [ https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1269874665/ ] so what do we do? idk... i am not sure if sprites are saved the way projects are. they might be deleted forever when removed from a project but i cannot be sure... it seems the only way to not feed the beast a nutritious meal is to not share anything or to poison it.
i learnt of other information about the update, and this is my updated take on the topic:
