Okay, yeah, so ummm, ai. Icky, I don't feel like explaining the situation, however I think the following explain it pretty well, all sides considered: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1269751874/ https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1270291994/ https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/862281/?page=1#post-8939177 https://www.scratchfoundation.org/ai https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1270567457/ ~~~~~~~~ (Read through them all please, they all cover different angles. Please.) ~~~~~~~~ -In light of these developments, I will not be posting art here any longer. I do not condone the fact my art could be fed into Ai if someone feels like it. Like. Scraping is going to be an issue where ever you go, but man. This site has always had so much drama and I'm kinda done with it. I'll still be around lurking, because there's still so many people here that I love (/plat) and would hate to just. Leave. But also like, probably going to very much shrink my circle of existence on here. Might be nice to catch a breath of fresh air anyhow, and I won't be able to stay here forever, so just. Prepare myself for the inevitable I guess? Things got cleared up, but meh. I've been thinking about leaving for a while, but there's too many people that I'm not just going to leave in the dark I guess? I don't know, this whole thing is just kinda way out of hand. With the tos, it seems like only Scratch, and it's approved affiliates will be allowed to use our things for training ai, and anyone else this is strictly not allowed. They've said a firm no to actually adding AI for image and text generation, however they'll be thinking about it for helping kids with coding because that's somehow going to help them with creativity and such and just like. They'll never learn that way? And creativity is NOT through AI generation??? The whole thing is a mess as well, because Scratch Team, was not even told that this would be happening and have said they're against AI for scratch. (Tos and AI stuff being issued by the foundation.) I mean, dude what even? Scratch Team themselves are actually really nice and handle things really well though. Full cheers to them. But definitely blehh,,, and Foundation as far as updates have gone, to AI have said "not yet, not yet, not yet" The yet scares me. They haven't done anything yet, they're not going to yet, but they might in the future. They /could/ in the future.
If anyone was wondering I do have a small pocketfull of offsites, it's normally Sunceeatssunscreen. :Thumbs-Up: (Like,, Th, blr, and Af.)
