(EDIT: Scratch may not be using users’ art to train AI, but it IS unsettling that the Terms of Service changed…) ….. ..this is absolutely crazy. It’s insane. This is supposed to be a kid-friendly site, where people can share their talents, thoughts, and ideas to other individuals. Not as something sold off to artificial intelligence without even credit. It’s full on barbaric. I may not be popular, or have good art, but what I do have is an opinion. And that opinion—if it is not the truth—is that we, as the users of this site, should have OUR rights to OUR art. I thought I disliked AI before, but now I despise it. A no-good program that takes art that took so much effort to make in the first place, and doesn’t even give credibility to the original artist. At the start, this website seemed like such a good place. I don’t know where that version of Scratch went, but whichever alternate universe that’s in, it’s far, far, far away from here. … …..well I guess I now know why most scratchers quit.
Edit 1/24: yep, still toast. Likely burnt toast next time I check in. And I don’t like burnt toast; too burnt and not enough toast. Edit 1/25: ok, things have calmed down-ish for the mo. It’s nice. Unfortunately, it probably will go back to absolute chaos sometime soon… Edit 1/26: Umm, so.. Scratch banned some of the anti-ai projects ^^; (things are getting intense…) Edit 1/27: I think we’re good now, ig. The irony that I currently doing debating in language arts, that is about artificial intelligence. This is definitely going on the list of cons… …… …I had a conversation with my dad about this, and he didn’t even get the point of what I was trying to say. Always telling me “tRy To SeE bOtH sIdEs Of ThE sItUaTiOn”, when I already saw both sides. … …..I’m sick of it.
