I logged on to scratch and was hit by a pop-up demanding to know my state. I thought "huh, that's weird, anyways I'm switching my location to antarctica so I don't have to answer that question," and went on to check the recent activity. What I saw appalled me. Scratch is going to use our art to train AI. Not just art -- EVERYTHING you post or write on this site is being stolen. And we have no choice in this. I'm shocked. I'm disgusted. I'm hurt. I had plans to start posting art at least once monthly here again after my many months long hiatus... but that won't be happening now. My art will not be taken from me against my will and be used to train AI by a KIDS CODING WEBSITE. I will only be posting offsite from this point on. My username is either TheLonelyDorito or TheLonelyDoritoez in other places -- if you're 13 or older, you're more than welcome to find me. I'm too lazy to go back through all my projects here and apply preventative measures to my art, everything here is hella old anyways, not that it makes me any less mad ofc. There's really no point doing that, or unsharing / deleting everything, anyways -- Scratch probably has already stolen all that by now, unfortunately. My leaving has been a long time coming I feel due to my continuous inactivity, but I'm upset and sorry that it had to be for this reason, and this abruptly. I'd like to thank everyone who has supported me over the years, through my good times and my bad times, and I hope to reunite with my friends and mutuals on a better platform <3
