Update: this project is mostly useless!! Because guess what? We are safe. I kinda suspected that we all might be overreacting and then I saw the article and I’m sure we definitely overreacted https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/862281/?page=1#post-8939177 To be clear I still don’t like this whole ai approach because ST might, I said might, not stick to their word.. There are approximately 1,010,300 words in the English language, but I could never string enough words together to properly express how much I want to hit ai over the head with a chair So um. You’ve probably seen and heard stuff abt this ai moving onto scratch, in simple language it will take your art, use it to train the ai, and then the ai can replicate your art style. This totally messes up your future career if you decide to base it around art. And most of us won’t just deal with this dookie. So um. Yeah. The Great Exodus. Idk where we all will end up, but if you still want to pursue art with an ai free environment I’d suggest moving to Unvale. You don’t have to quit scratch, just don’t post your art unless you want ai to use it. Though this really does come off as a, “I’m never coming to eat here again!” “Ma’am this is McDonald, the largest fast food chain, we don’t care” kinda effort but it’s not like we’re storming ST hq :p So many ppl have rebelled today. In one day. That I’m hoping that ST will see everyone’s efforts
Music: Exodus! -by John Powell Scratch was never meant for artists. It never will be, and ST is making that a bit more apparent as of late. But there is still hope. #TheGreatExodus
