Welcome to ScratChat, a.k.a. Snapchat in Scratch! Here, you can try out 5 filters I created using scratch's latest extension, Face Sensing! Feel free to remix this project and add some more filters! Enjoy!
What the filters are/do: Cat Head Filter: Your face turns into a scratch cat face! Ball Filter: Try to make a loud noise to get the ball through the lines! If your microphone is bad or you want it to be easier, you can change the Sensitivity/Easiness variable that appears as you are using the filter. Hotdog Dancing Filter: A recreation of snapchat's dancing hotdog filter. Dance with or watch the hotdog as it jams to music! SFX Filter: Click on one of the sound effect buttons to listen to what it sounds like, and do your best impression on it. Dog Fliter: Recreation of the Snapchat Dog Filter (no tongue). Add some cute dog ears and a dog nose onto your face! Although you cannot take pictures or videos nor send them to your friends, you can press the h key or press the shutter button to hide the controls. In the meantime, you can still take screenshots (Volume + Power Button on iPhone, Snipping Tool on Windows, Command + Shift + 5 on Mac) and screen recordings (Control Center on iPhone, Snipping Tool/Print Screen key on Windows, Command + Shift + 5 on Mac) and send them to your friends on those platforms. Credits: Sound effects used from YouTube. Somebody on YouTube published a 2 minute version of the hot dog dancing, so I used Canva to remove the background of the video (it's not great) and pasted all the frames here. Somebody on Reddit posted a picture of all of the dog face assets (ears, nose, and tongue although the tongue wasn't used), so I used remove.bg to get rid of the background and applied the face sensing code. A remastered version for turbowarp will be coming out soon, so stay tuned for that! In the meantime, I will also be adding more filters and explaining them here.
