Basically, Scratch is using our projects without our consent now to train AI... That means our art, voices and more are basically gonna be STOLEN to train a ROBOT. And this is justified by saying "it's not been taken by a REAL PERSON so its not stealing" YES IT IS. it is using our work without consent. lemme js say: i dont completely hate ai. i have occasionally chatted w it for a bit of inspiration or js if i want to share my ideas. however, STEALING PEOPLE'S WORK, INCLUDING CHILDRENS' ORIGINAL PROJECTS is just so wrong. furthermore, @TJGE made a gr8 point of: "the ai will learn all the inappropriate toxic stuff this site has been getting dumped with lately. If human toxicity is enough, AI toxicity will only be worse." This is so concerning, as i'm sure we've all seen projects on scratch encoraging hatrid and anger towards groups of people or certain scratchers. i truly fear for what the ai will learn from this website.... also, so many scratchers on this site have used their voice, or even photos of themselves... this could mean the ai could take their voice as references for text to speech, or even use their bodies for ai image generations (potentially). furthermore, i think this is the reason i had to "finish setting up my acc" the other day. i had to tell the website which STATE I LIVE IN, which ik that doesnt say where i live, but it is js oddly specific and idk if i like telling scratch this.. we also now have to put in our mom or dad's email, which is now linking: -> our personal email -> our bday -> our gender -> our parent / guardian's email -> our country -> our state (if necessary) this is far too much info now!! I feel so mad rn. scratch is meant to be a safe place for CHILDREN. and now it's js not. sry for the rant XD pls remix this to spread awareness x HAVE A GR8 DAY & SCRATCH ON!!! <33 (if u feel comfortable after this)
