sorry for being inactive Chapter 9 I took a breath as I padded outside. It'll be spring soon, I thought. Yesterday me and Fergus went on a walk, and I accepted. Acorn was no longer my friend, or anything to me. I Yawned. I chased a cat this morning, but the cat scratched me. I have some cobwebs over my nose now. Alpha changed the rule to no more fighting, because he was scared acorn would be killed. I'm strong, aren't I? no, probably scary. or both. or none. He said fights will be attended sometimes, but only to test strength on...certain days. Im still limping, but I feel way better. I trotted over to fergus's farm. "a pig. Yum." I remembered the stupid deal with Fergus to never ever hunt his animals. "it wont hurt to catch ONE pig...would it?" I slipped under the fence to find Fergie sitting, staring at me. "you want that pig? eh. he was annoying, anyway. I cant catch him at all, so it'd be better if a very tough dog in the woods that thinks her wild pack is so cool and they don't need a owner would catch it." she teased. Anger bubbled inside me. I couldnt be nice to her any longer. I lashed out. "Maybe think about how it would be to live in the woods and surviving and fighting Alone! the pack doesn't even depend on you when you're the weakest one! When I acuallty almost killed my own packmate, everyone takes advantage of you!" It wasn't very harsh, but I couldn't think of any other mean thing to say. until it got in my head... Fergie opened her mouth, but I cut her off. "We survive and work and fight! to live!and all you do is sit in your little barn, safe and sound, lazily while we do all the work?? no dog just sits and watches their brother and learns nothing! get a life! If you weren't so lazy and fat then maybe you'd do your job better catching that pig! You can choose to be free and responsible, and so like being an idiot like you." The words came out harsher than I meant them to be. But I was satisfied and proud, so I didn't take them back. I watched Fergie looking at me like I just caught a bumblebee and brought it to the pups. "y...you..." she blinked at me. "I-im not an idiot...you're wrong..." she couldn't say anything. Because i was RIGHT. "I win. goodbye, Fergie." I pinned the pig down as I bit its spine and dragged it away. "Don't tell Fergus, or you'll regret it." I growled. she started at the woods as I disappeared, spaced out. I brought the pig back to the hollow, as I dragged it to the clearing into the food pile. "there." muttered, Sunny and dash raced up to me. "dont tell me you caught this." echo said. "I caught this." I said. echo blinked. "wow. where did you find it?" I didn't answer. I just went back to my nest and curled up, dreaming about prey. "Rosie!" what? who was that dog? he smelled unfimiliar. and how did he know my name? "who are you...?" I asked, still groggy from sleep. "please, wake up." when I opened my eyes, I saw acorn beaten up. "acorn??? why are you wounded and smell so bad?" I snarled. he blinked, guilty. "Im sorry. I joined another pack."
