(Guys it may not be such a big deal go to the new info link) Welcome, Scratchers. Recently, Scratch has made some changes that many of us are confused or concerned about. One of the biggest worries is the idea that user projects may be used to train AI. If that’s true, people deserve to know clearly and directly. These projects are things we worked hard on, and it doesn’t feel right for decisions like that to happen without open communication. If this lack of transparency continues, some users may feel pushed away from Scratch and start looking at other coding platforms instead. That’s not what most of us want. We just want honesty and respect. This is not about attacking individual Scratch Team members. From what I understand, only certain higher-level staff knew about these decisions. Please do not harass or blame Scratch Team members we know in the community. They may not have had control over this, and they’re probably already dealing with a lot of questions and frustration. The purpose of this project is to: Raise awareness Encourage clearer communication from Scratch leadership Share feedback in a respectful way Scratch means a lot to many of us. We just want to be informed and have a say in what happens with the things we create.
