This isn't supposed to be some well-formed essay; I'm just showing my thoughts on this. Multiple projects go into detail about this situation that you can find. I'm sure everyone has already heard about this (at least for Artists) cause everyone has been talking about it. -My stand on it I don't care if someone says 'they could be using it just for code,' that still doesn't make it better. Scratch is a place for creativity and struggling to figure out why your code doesn't work (and then looking up a tutorial or something). Adding AI to this site removes the entire message. Plus scratch has a huge, and I mean HUGE community of artists on here, and they literally just spat in our faces. This place is made for people to share their creativity, not to help AI slop. Plus, the age verification is stupid and unnecessary. There's no need to know our specific state or our parents' email. This is a place for kids; you don't need our location. It's asking for a data breach, it truly is. -So what about me? Honestly, I have been trying to get off of Scratch for a while and move towards another platform. I was already kinda ehhh about the copyright policy. ESPECIALLY with my new (ish) story, because it is my entire purpose at the moment, and it's my future yada yada the usual. The possibility of my art/characters/writing getting stolen was already high, but now, because of this new policy, TOS, whatever it is, my story can now be fed to AI?? And before you say, "I doubt that will ever happen." That is NOT a risk I'm willing to take. At all. If you have seen my projects, you know how strict I am when it comes to the possibility of my stuff being stolen. It's something I dread and something I don't want to happen. Am I overreacting? Maybe, possibly, I don't really care. I'm not leaving yet, mostly because I have no other platform so far. (and I might wait it out to see what ACTUALLY happens). But I will be posting less, and there's a high possibility I remove most of my projects. I'm disappointed. -ErthDagon
