TO ALL YOU CONTENT CREATORS OR ARTISTS ON HERE, LISTEN UP!!! SO, I had just stumbled across a project about protecting art(somebody posted it on @Cartoony 's account), and I thought "maybe it's just some little kid being an idiot and redrawing her art. no. it's much worse, my friends. Let me explain in the most SUBTLE WAY I can. Not only did I see something when I logged back into scratch yesterday, saying if I agreed to the terms and services. And acknowledging the idiot I am, I did NOT read it all the way. ( I know. i'm stupid. ) I clicked, and moved on, not knowing I should have read the terms of service. Despite my idiotic action, I tried reading the terms of service later on, but I had to leave( it was 2:55). I got back on this morning, and looked at Cartoony's page. Like I said, I thought it was some kid tracing her work. -What scratch is saying about AI in Terms Of Service: In @CupieMaster 's words, "posting ANY user content [whether it be text, forums, images, etc] grants scratch the right to use it for AI training and for third parties to use it for the same purposes, which is EXPLICITLY written right here in their general ToS" -For us on scratch: Casual things can be "legally by scratch/affiliates to train AI, even if it isn't intended to be used that way" Agreement to this means no permission is needed to be granted for AI to train on. You can't "opt-out", so the only decision is to not post....Scratch can also use our content in AI models that can "be commercialized or shared with others." This is exactly what they did for Sora AI so the software could "improve". -What I'm going to do: I'm probably going to glaze the next 20 art projects(or animations, MAP host will have to remove the poison/glaze to put it in their MAP) I do, because I am NOT leaving scratch just because they wanted to change things all of a sudden. Do not get mad at scratch members for this. it is not in control of what they put on the terms of service. please do not spread misinformation about the scratch team.
