* and how we kinda overreacted to the AI stuff that Scratch is doing If you don't wanna read my yapfest: Your ART will not be used to train Scratch's Creative AI Assistant, though your CODE might. Section 8.2 of the ToS is vaugely worded, leading to outrage. So recently Scratch has rewritten their ToS to reference AI models, which made users outraged and some even QUITTING. This happened because people started overreacting because the ToS because people's neurons were activated because of the words "train", "AI" and "models"... This is NOT the case... Since Scratch openly was against using GenAI for Image Generation. (yeah...) Instead it's for a new feature, an "Creative AI Assistant". An AI Assistant that focuses more on getting people "unstuck" rather than doing it for them (which reflects my stance of AI should work WITH people (AS A TOOL), not AGAINST them) Scratch is not, and will not, scrape art made by people (which is good, since this is most of the concerns that ppl have) But all we need is a project opt-in/out feature for people who do not WANT their project's code being scraped. also the wording of 8.2 is very vauge, that's how people may hev overreacted i dunno im no lawyer this is really just MY take on this...
