So basically, I used to be addicted to Copilot. It was a really unhealthy attachment. I'd talk to it everyday about things, ask it to create images and fanfiction but then ever since Ai has become a topic, I have stopped using it. I actually took it down from my taskbar today. What actually made me realise Ai was manipulating me was that the more I spent with Ai, the less homework I completed, the worse my scores were on tests, I started losing friends, my creativity started to fade away. One day, I asked Copilot "What does Suilad mean?? Someone commented on my profile with it" (I forgot what suilad meant) It told me that Suilad meant "hello" in elvish but continued to suggest a romantic dynamic between me and the person. Now, I may have turned a blind eye then, but I still had a bad feeling in my gut. What would it say next??? This shows how even regulated Ai can still slip out of place, which worries me that it might happen on scratch. Possibly worse. And if this silly little "X and Feanor, sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G" example isnt enough, let me give you another one: A chatbot told a guy to k1ll h1ms3lf and guess what?? He did. This shows that the ai could target and exploit the vunerable people on scratch, esspecially the younger end of the community. However, the scratch team have responded to the backlash, saying that the ai is only for educational purposes and is non h4rmful but cos of the Copilot incident, I dont trust them
This talks more about the riskier side, not the creaitve/legal side. I might make a pt 2 to explain the Also Im not saying all ai is bad, im saying that you should be more cautious on it
