[A READ ONLY PROJECT] This is what i think. Being totally honest, i am so fricking pissedappointed with Scratch’s updated TOS (Terms of Service), I have been putting my art here for about 4 years now because i THOUGHT it was a safe place for young cool artists to share their art and learn! aaand now they’re saying that by posting MY WORK, I gave them PERMISSION to use it FOREVER to train their filthy AI MODELS. Even if i delete everything right now they can still use my crap, like... no????? I never agreed to that when i joined scratch, and now you’re just MAKING everyone agree? they didn't have an option to so what the hell is wrong with you??? I just wanted to shae my art with the other creators here and be part of the community, not have my fricking stuff become FREE TRAINING DATA, for some Now AI company. And they won’t even tell us clearly what posting means or if our private unshared projects are being used too. It feels like a backstab because this was supposed to be different from other platforms. And it’s not just me, there’s so many younger artists on scratch who are feeling the same way. We are all (mostly) just minors making art on a site that’s supposed to be EDUCATIONAL, and now we’re finding out our work is just being fed in AI systems WITHOUT our REAL CONSENT. Everyone’s talking about how wrong it is when AI companies scrape artists work without permission and now scratch is doing it to kids. I’m so dissapointed because i actually LOVE this platform, and now i have to choose between staying in a community i care about or protecting my art from being used in ways we never wanted. We are NOT free resources for AI training, we are REAL ARTISTS who put time and effort into our work, not lazy bimbos who type out a prompt and make “art” with a click of a button. This sucks and whatever one of you is going to say "oh but you're spreading misinformation and it doesn't say that sekko!!!!" it does.
