**okok I've heard a couple times it's the developers (not ST, the ones a level above them basically) that are doing this. Still worth sharing your thoughts and all the other stuff ^^ (take a wip art piece as eye candy) Hi guys :D Quick recap, as of Jan 22 (to my knowledge), Scratch team updated their ToS to include their ability to take our images/writings/anything we post on this website and use it for AI training, and they may be implementing AI age verification to comply with legislation. These projects explain it well: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1269751874/ https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1269751874/ As someone who’s pretty against gen ai, especially AI image models training off of artists, and is an artist, yeahhh of course I’m not happy with this. AI has some excellent uses, especially in the medical field, but swiping data from a kids coding website?? I’ve used this website for nearly 10 years on various accounts so it is very disappointing to see Scratch going in this direction. If ya’ll are able to, I would highly recommend directly emailing Scratch Team with your thoughts, signing petitions, posting your own feelings about this either in projects or forums, and generally being vocal (but not disrespectful!!) with your opinions. now, with all that being said: FLEUR will still be happening, it will still be posted on Scratch, and I won’t be unsharing my old projects that have my art for a few reasons. Namely, - Unsharing my projects won’t prevent ST from accessing them, as everything is stored in their servers. The only thing this would do is hurt you guys, as other scratchers would be the only people unable to access the projects - yes, @Shadaclipse and I are still going to be posting FLEUR on Scratch. Granted, we will be taking precautions, such as using AI glazing. But everyone on the team has put too many hours into the project to cancel it imo although I’m absolutely against ST is doing with regards to gen. AI, I don’t want that to hurt the communities I’m in that I’ve worked to build. And, correct me if I’m wrong, ST has been very ambiguous about what they’re actually intending to do with our content. TLDR I’m very against ST being able to take all our content for gen AI especially without an opt out, and I’ll be emailing them with my thoughts (i’d recommend you do too!) but I will be continuing to post and use Scratch in general
