.•*[What I think on the overall Situation]*•. I have been on scratch for almost 3 years across 3 accounts and I never would’ve thought they would stoop so low… Scratch knows a majority of its community is the Artist and Writers of Scratch, so why they feel the need to use AI is insane to me. I am very disappointed in Scratch because it was supposed to be a place where young artists and writers could post and upload their art without any worry of it being stolen or used to train/generate AI. The fact that scratch forces you to agree to this in order to keep using the platform is not fair and does not make any sense why they would do that to the community. .•*[How I feel about this]*•. As an Artist and writer myself i have put a lot of time into first off my art. My art is something im passionate about and something that is used as an escape for me. Being able to share my art and OC’s on this platform brings me and indescribable feeling of joy. The artists and writers i have met on this website are absolutely amazing and I hate to see them brought down and upset by scratches choice. I spent majority of my childhood drawing and learning English so I should get in touch with the art and writing community, so when I found scratch I felt like I finally found that community and all of my hard work paid off. But to see scratch FORCE us to agree with their plans of using our art to train their own AI is where I draw the line. .•*[what im going to do]*•. Despite being disappointed in scratch I am not leaving, however i will be taking action. At the start of this year i unshared my art projects in hopes to redesign my scratch page and make it look nicer but as of now i will not be reuploading them until scratch takes down the agreement of them using our art. I will be unsharing projects on @Silkwounds and I will be putting my Roleplay Scalebound on a temporary haitus, i have been working on scalebound for almost 6 months now and all of the art I have done for it will NOT be shared on scratch or in any of the studios i have made. For unto darkness i Also will not be sharing my projects with character art and bio’s until this is dealt with. Im hoping scratch realizes their mistake soon and fixes it, to all the writers and artists out there i strongly recommend you join studios that are taking stands against AI. - 1/23/26 UPDATE: 1/23/26 This is unacceptable on scratches end. They cannot even promise the safety of our information and that is not ok, scratch please get your stuff together and stop this bs, this is a KIDS WEBSITE.
