Ok, look, people. AI was introduced to our world, with us hoping that it'll help us in our daily lives. Instead, it's going downhill now. People tell me 'AI is good, you should use it, what's wrong with AI?' Ok, I'll tell you what's wrong with AI. What does AI stand for? ARTIFICIAL intelligence. I cannot express 'artificial' any harder. AI has knowledge that WE gave. So why have AI, when it only teaches us things that WE gave them? In my opinion, it's ok to use it sometimes, like looking for information, as AI usually credits sources. BUT, I can't see why we should rely so heavily on it, why we should let AI do jobs for us, or why we should let AI control what we do. One of my classmates used AI to write out a presentation for her in school. Using AI with the intent of learning MORE is fine, but using it to do the work for you is a complete waste. If you want to waste your education, fine by me. That's your decision, but I find it shocking and absolutely horrendous to hear that people want AI to do things for them. AI has no feelings. Forget those weird replies of 'I'm sorry you feel that way'. It is FAKE SYMPATHY. People feel more comfortable to talk about their problems to AI even though a real person can help better. Isn't that just appalling? I just can't believe some people find talking to a thing without feelings better than real people. Of course, however, I personally have done that before, so I can't really judge too hard. However, I would like to note that AI can be good. I only use AI for a general overview of something, but still do more research. An example would be the AI overview on Google. I trust the info it has as they do credit reliable websites (I don't entirely trust Wikipedia though) But using AI without knowing where the info comes from is a big no-no for me. To Scratch: I'm not completely against AI, but I would like to know why we don't have the choice of opting out. Have you ever heard that 'unconscious people don't want tea'? That, in other words, means that we want the choice of allowing AI to use our art or ideas. Consent matters a LOT, and Scratch gives a worse experience due to the fact that YOU are doing something without OUR consent. Consent matters, Scratch. I know Scratchers (me included) who don't want to leave Scratch because of the fun coding and designing experience but some of us are leaving sadly, due to the implementation of AI. My opinion?: I say that AI is perfectly fine to use, but Scratch, give US users the option. We're the ones going to be affected, anyways, so give us the choice of opting in or out. Thank you. ~Sakura
Look, I have a lot to say about AI but I don't have time to write it all in one shot.
